Introducing Victoria
Winter 2024 marks the highly anticipated rebirth of Victoria—a triumphant celebration of independence, dedication, and sustainability.
After four years of restoration and transformation, Victoria comes to life, crafted by the multi-award-winning team behind The Mowbray and The Chimney House. Together, they complete a trio of renowned Northern event spaces, celebrated in publications like ELLE, The Observer, Yorkshire Weddings, Hitched, Rock My Wedding, and Love My Dress since 2006.
Nestled in Sheffield’s industrial quarter of Neepsend, Victoria stands proud, reigniting the legacy of an extraordinary site. Once home to flower gardens and fruit orchards, a survivor of both world wars, a circus ground, and a derelict 1884 chapel, it is now a beacon of innovation. Victoria has earned its reputation as the “ultimate reuse project,” continuing the founders’ passion for restoring history from ruin.
Sustainability at Its Core
Victoria has been meticulously designed with sustainability in mind, blending luxury with purpose. The heart of its design is an elegant fusion of environmental consciousness and timeless beauty, all while championing ‘doing good.’
“Our approach—like all our spaces—is centered around sustainable, thoughtful methods. With Victoria, we’ve set ourselves the challenge to create a place that feels meaningful, as well as beautiful and soulful,” says Sally Hubbard, Owner.
From antique Art Deco brass chandeliers to reclaimed cinema lights, the ambient lighting creates a warm, intimate atmosphere. Every detail—from the salvaged fabrics adorning the chairs to the restored timber floors—reflects a commitment to minimizing waste. This effort has already earned Victoria the title of ‘Sustainable Business of the Year’ at the 2024 unLTD Awards.
Now, as a premium event space, Victoria offers an exciting blend of upscale dining, lifestyle, business, wellness, music, and design, with a dynamic events calendar running seven days a week. At its core, it continues to host award-winning weddings.
Endless Possibilities
Victoria’s 500-capacity space offers diverse opportunities across multiple rooms. The Clubhouse, bathed in natural light, boasts vibrant oil paintings and serves as an intimate cocktail bar, perfect for welcome drinks and post-ceremony handcrafted cocktails by night. During the day, it’s home to the much-loved ‘Mow’s Coffee.’
Exquisite Weddings
The Chapel upstairs is where the magic happens—an awe-inspiring redbrick ‘Feasting Hall’ featuring the original chapel altar, now adorned with reclaimed mirrors. This space creates the ideal setting for dreamy ceremonies, while a stunning Juliette balcony promises breathtaking wedding photos.
Above the in-house kitchen, The Lodge offers a tranquil space for pre-ceremony moments, interviews, and photos. The Courtyard, a luxurious private outdoor area, provides a stunning setting for alfresco dining and wedding ceremonies, and also hosts antique fairs, music festivals, and outdoor gatherings.

For Lovers of Details
Every corner of Victoria is a celebration of craftsmanship and care. The hand-drawn branding of a circus horse and rider, hand-painted ‘dry brush’ signage, and the signature celestial incense scent—created by Sheffield artisan Essence & Alchemy—add to the venue’s charm. Romance lingers in the smallest of details, such as the prayer sheet tucked in a wall cavity reading “be thou my light” and the preserved Victorian teacup found in an old fireplace.
Couples at Victoria also enjoy exclusive access to a curated group of independent creatives and curators who form the Victoria Wedding Club. Sustainability is further supported by a collaboration with Sheffield flower farms, bringing seasonal beauty to both the indoor space and outdoor landscaping.
Spectacular Dining
At the heart of Victoria’s experience lies its focus on high-quality produce and craftsmanship, reflected in the purpose-built kitchen and fire scullery, led by Head Chef Emma Tophill-Reed (former Group Head Pastry Chef at The Pig Hotel). Known for its exceptional seasonal offerings, Victoria’s kitchen sources from top suppliers, including Laurent-Perrier Champagne, Organic North, and Neal’s Yard Dairy.
Menus are thoughtfully crafted from scratch for every occasion—whether it’s seated supper clubs, grazing tables, festival plates, or brasserie-style events. At Victoria, every meal is a masterpiece, reflecting the same attention to detail as the space itself.

A New Era
Victoria now stands ready to welcome guests into its beautifully restored space, offering unforgettable experiences that honor its rich past while embracing a vibrant, sustainable future. Powered by solar energy and led by an inspiring female team, Victoria continues to thrive as a beacon of history and progress.
Already fully booked for the 2025/26 season, Victoria kicked off the holiday season with festive festivals, cozy gatherings, and candlelit supper clubs—and is now preparing for an exciting wedding season ahead.
Victoria is truly a revival, a re-loved masterpiece celebrating its past and stepping boldly into its future.
