I’m Carol Smith, the Somerset Celebrant, an experienced independent wedding celebrant. I deliver unique, personalised and meaningful wedding ceremonies, commitment ceremonies, handfastings, vow renewals throughout the Southwest and across the UK and Europe.
As every couple’s relationship is unique, so your wedding ceremony should reflect your relationship in all its aspects. It should be incredibly special, meaningful and memorable.
I really enjoy the experience of working together with a couple and seeing their wedding ceremony evolve. Poems and readings are suggested, music is chosen, vows are written and gradually their dreams take shape. This ensures their wedding ceremony is as individual as they are; it reflects their personalities, and is perfectly tuned to the love they share.
Including some special elements in your ceremony further helps to make your ceremony unique and special to you. It also gives you the opportunity to involve your family and friends in the past important part of your wedding day.

Our Clerkenwell abode is the perfect backdrop for your special day and our friendly and knowledgeable team will be on hand to take care of everything for you from the planning stage onwards, ensuring your day runs without a hitch, so you can concentrate on enjoying yourself.
The entire building can be yours for the day, which includes six distinct areas. We can host up to 110 guests for dinner or 180 guests for a reception, with all spaces boasting carefully curated interiors, lush hanging baskets and numerous windows to allow for an abundance of natural light. Each space is already romantically decorated for the occasion.
