A Marriage Ceremony is the legal part that gets the paperwork sorted where two individuals legally bind themselves in marriage according to the laws of the country or state. 

It often includes traditional vows, and sometimes the exchange of rings, and will be officiated by a religious or civil authority and follows a set format. 

It takes place in a registered place of worship, licensed office or venue which is open to the public.
