Amy is an experienced, professional violinist and pianist who loves playing a large range of genres and styles from Classical to Pop music. Based in Staffordshire, Amy is available for corporate functions, private parties and weddings. She can either play piano for your event, or violin, or both, for example violin for a wedding ceremony and piano for the drinks reception.
She started learning to play the violin when she was just 7 years old and piano at the age of 13. Amy studied at the Birmingham Conservatoire, performing with their Symphony Orchestra on the violin and playing in many concerts, weddings, competitions, and recitals gaining a Bachelor of Music degree with honours as well as ABRSM Grade 8 distinction.
Amy has played the violin and piano for many shows, theatre productions and performances for the Prince of Wales Theatre, Rugeley Rose Theatre, and Stafford Gatehouse Theatre including The Lion King, Funny Girl,
Singing in the Rain, Chicago, Hairspray, A Star is Born, and My Fair Lady.
She also regularly performs solo piano or solo violin at many weddings across Staffordshire, Shropshire and the West Midlands at venues such as Moor Hall Hotel & Spa, Fairlawns Hotel, The West Mill, Sugnall Hall, The Moat House, Keele Hall, The Mill Barns, Coton House Farm, Ludlow Castle, The Ashes Barns, Edgbaston Park Hotel, The Boat House at Aston Marina, Weston Hall, The Barns Hotel, Morley Hayes, The Hyatt Regency and is a recommended supplier at Sandon Hall and Ingestre Hall.
Whether a particular theme is required for a musical function such as a secular formal Classical evening, a lively folk music event or a relaxing contemporary Pop atmosphere, Amy can adapt to any occasion. Recently Amy played some romantic piano music on her brand new white digital piano at The Chase Golf and Country Club for their Valentine’s evening and entertained many guests for a lively party playing Irish violin music at a private event in Derby for St. Patrick’s Day.
Her repertoire is vast and she can also play special requests if there are any particular songs or pieces that the client would like whether its Disney, Jurassic Park, The Greatest Showman, Ed Sheeran, Beethoven, or Linkin Park! A recent highlight was playing the theme tune from Star Wars on the violin for a special surprise birthday party and taking her piano to a garden centre to play the Romeo and Juliet music for a proposal!
Amy provides her own William Piper violin hand crafted from the Victorian Violin Company or if piano is required she has a white digital piano that is PAT tested and has a PA system. She also has public liability insurance of up to £1 million.
