Hi, I’m Jackie, an experienced, (ex-Registrar) fully insured Celebrant covering the whole of the north of England. I specialise in truly engaging with couples to design and compose a bespoke wedding, handfasting, elopement, commitment or vow renewal ceremony written especially for them. There are no restrictions on the content or format of the ceremony, which I perform in any location (indoors or outside) at any time of day and for any size of gathering. I’m an accomplished public speaker who doesn’t need the inconvenience of a microphone.
I see myself as the teller of stories and I’m always fascinated by the journey of a couple to the milestone of their ‘I Do’ day – and their hopes for the many days beyond! So integral to my ceremonies is the telling of the couple’s unique love story, with the opportunity for funny anecdotes, challenges overcome together, with many giggles and happy tears among family and friends before moving to the serious and deeply personal exchange of rings and promises. I’ve many suggestions for a range of content to personalise a ceremony, but am equally happy to welcome contributions from couples who want to be very ‘hands-on’ in the design and wording choice of their ceremony. Traditional, formal. contemporary, relaxed, intimate, a little quirky or totally zany – anything goes! After all, it’s your ceremony, your way!
