The Importance of an Engagement Shoot

Engagement sessions are one of my favourite things to photograph. It’s a great opportunity to get to know my couples before their wedding and see how they interact with each other. A lot of people don’t feel comfortable being photographed. This gives them an idea of how I work and puts them at ease before the most important day of their lives!

Reasons I think engagement shoots are great and a must have….

The more time you spend with your photographer the more comfortable you’ll be in front of the lens. A relaxed and happy couple make for much nicer natural images of the two of you. Remember, your photographer will be with you for HOURS on your wedding day capturing all those intimate moments and preserving one of the most emotional days of your life. Not only does this give me the opportunity to get to know you but you also get to know me!

Elopements and Destination Weddings – What is so great about them? In October last year I married the man of my dreams… in Madeira, Portugal. Neither of us is Portuguese, and we do not live in Portugal. I did not want to elope, since I did want my closest family and friends to be present, but I did want a destination wedding in a great location.
